8/7/16 Goodbye BTW some of us may not know that it means, ‘By the way’, or LOL means ‘Laughing out loud’. Most of us do not know that ‘God be with ye’ has today become “Goodbye”. It has lost its meaning when unbelievers say it. It has become ‘so long’, or ‘see you later’. To say ‘Farewell’ would still have meaning because God is implicit in it.
My Uncle Bill and his wife were called to the Hospital to say goodbye to their daughter who had been in a car wreck. She was conscious, and able to speak, but had but six hours to live, because her head was now in a roof top Ô shape. There is a ‘last chance’ time to say goodbye for all of us. Say, “God be with ye”, not goodbye, because it may be your last chance.
Is there a right time to say goodbye to someone? Not if you love them. What if they have Advanced Parkinson’s disease? When their Dementia has become Alzheimer’s Disease? When they are no longer productive, or useful? When they need care giver service to be safe? When they have gone from curative care to palliative care, such as Hospice care? There are laws that govern the legality of the decision to end someone‘s life, in Hospital ICU. Doctors are required to “Do No Harm” in any case.
It is good to empower a Medical Power of Attorney to make the decision, to end your physical life, for you in the event you are not able to do it. If you give “Springing Power”, you limit the power to only when you become incompetent. Who is to decide when that is? If you give “Durable Power“, the decision will be made for you even though you are competent.
Never say goodbye to someone who loves you. You should remain friends after you know that your love will never grow to a marriage. Desire and lust may come and go, yet never grow to love that marriage requires. Yet, There is a time to say goodbye! Let’s look at it today.
Say Goodbye to these obvious works of the flesh, Gal 5:19 some of which are: adultery, unmarried sex, erotic lewdness, angry warfare, jealousy, hatred, gluttony, drunkenness, drug addiction, law breaking Ex20:3-17 and such things. They are the fruit of an unclean spirit.
The name Jesus means Messiah, Christ. Jesus in you brings Salvation and a washing away of the lusts of your flesh if you let Him do it. 1Cor 6:11 Ask Jesus to anoint you with the Holy Ghost, Sanctified and empowered for service to God and mankind. When God calls you to higher ground, give God all that you are, and ever will be, as a total burnt offering. Jesus, as High Priest, will cleanse you with Fire, Mt 3:11 and God the Father will Justify you, and set you apart by a change in your character and conduct. It is goodbye to old Adam in you, 1Cor 15:45 and Hello to new Adam. You are now A born again child of God 1Pet 1:23, Jn 3:3-7. Amen
